Melissa’s Message. . . . .Meet the Sunday Teachers! 

   This month instead of featuring a specific Sunday School teacher I’m going to feature our newest Adult Sunday School Class.

   In February, Greg Tracy and Mark Grayless began teaching a Christian basics class called What We Believe. Now the class is moving from understanding what we believe to applying those truths to daily life.

   Last week we discussed the concept of spiritual transformation. We looked at Scripture that helps us to see that transformation is the work of God’s Spirit working through us as we willingly obey. Jesus has left us His Spirit, so we are not alone in trying to live out the Christian life.

   In the upcoming weeks we will discuss various aspects of the Christian life, including Bible Study, prayer, service, witnessing and discipling others. We will have a variety of teachers and testimonies shared during the month of May to give real life examples of people living out their faith in every day life.

   All of these disciplines contribute to a transformed life; they are just some of the tools God uses to mold us more into the image of Jesus.

   If you haven’t tried a Sunday School class yet, I encourage you to take that first step and visit a class! This Living what We Believe Class meets upstairs above the nursery from 9:40-10:20. You can go up the staircase immediately on your left as you enter from the parking lot.

   We will begin a Bible 101 class on June 1st in the same location taught by Jim Nartker.

   As one of our Elders is known to say, "You haven’t been to church if you haven’t been to Sunday School!"
