Recreation

On Sunday, after Sunday School, some of us spent the afternoon at the pool, while others spent the afternoon in their air-conditioned room taking a nap and just relaxing. On the Friday before we returned home we went shopping at a few of the local market, the Mega Plaza and a wood market.

At the market you are expected to barter, before you buy. . .

Out side the Guamilito(Gwam-a-leet-toe) Market

Robin, Spence and Jenni, trying to talk the lady down on the price. Spencer, "How do you say cheaper in Spanish?"

Jenni, 'let's see, it's 15 Limperia to 1 dollar, so tell me again how much this is going to cost me in American money?'

The view from outside the Mega Plaza where we stopped for lunch.

A guard outside the Mega Plaza.

He either said, HOLT! WHO GOES THERE?  or HELLO, I'm not sure.

Hand carved doors, several to choose from.

I hope my husband don't get upset when he finds out what I am having shipped home!

This store had hundreds

of items beautifully

hand carved.

Even the sign above the door as you go out was hand carved "MUCH THANKS"
