There are many children in our elementary schools who are lonely and don't feel loved. Kids Hope USA gives adults the opportunity to reach out to these children and let them know someone does love them and cares about them.

Kid’s Hope Corner

 

 

At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?" He called a little child and had him stand among them. And He said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven."

Matthew 18:1-4

     A mother watched as her daughter hopped off the school bus and scampered toward her house in a pouring rainstorm. As the little girl ran toward the house, a lightning bolt flashed and the little girl stopped, looked up toward the sky and smiled, then began running back toward the house.

    Another lightening bolt flashed, and again the little girl stopped, looked toward the sky, and smiled before running once more toward the open door of her house. When the little girl finally arrived in the house, her mother immediately asked about her strange behavior, "Why did you keep stopping and smiling at the sky?" she asked her daughter. "I had to, Mommy," the little girl explained. "God was taking my picture."

    This little girl knew her importance to God as His child. Kids Hope USA Mentors and Prayer Partners are a part of the ‘big picture’ of God’s love for each one of us. Because God loves us, we can show love to others. If you would like to be a part of the Kids Hope USA ministry at Union Christian Church for 2007-2008 school year, please come and see me!!
