ON THE MARK . . .   

   Thursday, May 1 will be the 57th year for the National Day of Prayer as Christians throughout America unite around the theme of "Prayer America’s Strength and Shield" . . . It is based on Psalm 28:7 that states, "the Lord is my strength and shield; my heart trusts in Him and I am helped". This day provides a time of worship, repentance, meditation and service from Christians all across our country . . . . . It is truly an opportunity for us to call upon the grace and power of our Lord to work in a special way. Get the word out and plan to participate in a personal or group activity.

   Be bold about your faith on this special day . . . Look for a bold reminder during the Talladega NASCAR race on Sunday, April 27th when the #78 Furniture Row car will sport a National Day of Prayer color scheme. Joe Nemechek and crew will call attention to something of greater value than a trophy and prize money . . God’s mighty power and blessings on our lives.
