        1. BENEVOLENCE:

Providing for the needs of church members and surrounding community with food delivery, financial assistance and other helping programs.

        2. LIVE NATIVITY:

Presented to our community each year during the Christmas season this outdoor dramatization of our Lord’s birth is complete with live animals and seen from the comfort of one’s own vehicle.

        3. MISSIONS:

Dedicated members supporting those that go out into the world for Christ. This committee meets every month on the 2nd Monday in the Fellowship Hall at 7:00 p.m.

        4. WELCOME CENTER:

Located to the left as you enter the Sanctuary, the center provides information, assistance and hospitality to our visitors and members as well as three great magazines "The Lookout", "Christian Standard", and "Seek".

 

        5. WELCOME FOR NEW FAMILIES:

Specially prepared welcome baskets are prepared for new members of our congregation and are delivered with a special "Hello."

WORSHIP

6. ADULT CHOIR

The Choir enhances the worship service at least once a month and are actively involved in presenting a musical/drama at least once a year. The choir is open to everyone. Practice is Thursdays at 6:00 p.m.

7. COMMUNION PREPARATION:

These faithful workers work on a rotation basis to prepare the Lord’s Table every service as well as the upkeep of baptismal gowns and towels.

8. DECORATIONS:

Throughout the year this committee changes the decor of the church to reflect the seasons, etc.

9. WORSHIP COMMITTEES

This committee is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the worship service

including sound video, special music, and special presentations.

This committee meets the second Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. and practices at 7:45 am every Sunday morning before services.

Evening Worship:

This committee meets and practices after 10:30 worship every Sunday

10. KIDS HOPE:

11. FOOD PREPARATION:

These ladies ensure that meals are prepared for those recently bereaved or in the event of prolonged illness as well as families of new born.

This vital ministry includes Sunday morning prayer time in the Communion preparation room, Tuesday morning in the Sanctuary and prayer partners during both worship services.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

 

13. ADULT SMALL GROUPS:

These small groups bring a more friendly atmosphere to meeting others in the church. They are opened to everyone. With a varying amount of topics. The Small groups bulletin board is located in the foyer.

14. BIBLE SCHOOL:

A time to learn more about our wonderful Creator. We have classes for every age from the nursery to the young at heart. All classes begin at 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning meeting in different locations throughout the church.

 

GROUP FELLOWSHIP

15. LADIES FELLOWSHIP & MINISTRY:

A group open to all women of our congregation as a means to fellowship, share in there many hobbies & interests as well as their faith and to participate in the many ministries needed within our congregation.

16. YOUNG AT HEART:

Open to all senior members of our congregation. This group meets at least once a month to participate in fellowship.

 

SERVICES

17. COUNSELING

Personal and family counseling is offered our minister. Please feel free to contact our office to set up a confidential appointment as his schedule allows.

18. OFFICE:

Equipped with a part time secretary and modern conveniences, ready to serve in any secretarial capacity. This office is responsible for the Sunday bulletin, monthly newsletter and other mailings, communication and receptionist duties. Please feel free to call for information or announcements.

OUR LAST MISSION TRIP to HONDURAS

PINEHAVEN:

This is a working ranch in Montana where wayward youth go to be given direction for life in a Christian atmosphere. Bob Larsson is the Director of this mission that serves over 50 young people.

NEW HOPE PRISON MINISTRY:

        "Taking Christ To Those Who Are In  Prison"   

Gene & Luann Woodcox are committed to full-time prison ministry at the Terre Haute Federal Penitentiary and, often, state institutions. Through preaching, teaching and counseling they make a difference in the lives of those behind bars.

CHRISTIAN CAMPUS MINISTRY

(SCAMPS)

        "Helping students develop a personal faith in Christ."

Mark Gallagher, campus minister, leads and guides young people from the campuses of Rose Hulman and ISU. SCAMPS provides opportunity for worship, study and fellowship while continuing their education.

 

ILLIANA CHRISTIAN ASSEMBLY:

This is our Christian service camp for youth. It offers a complete program of camping for youth of all ages.

HARVEST PRAYER MINISTRIES:

Under the leadership of David & Kim Butts they are committed to building a prayer movement focusing on the spiritual awakening of the church and the finishing of the task of world evangelism. Harvest Prayer Center is a prayer retreat center for the spiritual renewal of ministers, missionaries and church leaders.

RUTH McCLINTOCK (Bridge International):

Ruth (Jeanne) found salvation at Union Christian Church as a teenager and is now serving as a missionary and International Director of Bridge International in Zambia. Bridge works with poverty-stricken communities in the bush, helping them to improve their quality of life, as well as help them restore their identity as children of God and recover their calling as stewards in His Kingdom.

Providing comprehensive, direct service agency that serves the poor, homeless, elderly, neglected, and the needy.  Develops and administers programs in cooperation with parishes and any established group that desires to share in the church's work of social ministries.  Provides food through Catholic Charities Food Bank to 501(c)(c) not-for-profit agencies.  Service offices are: Anthony Square Congregate Living, Bethany House, Christmas Store, Household Exchange, Ryves Hall Youth Center and Simeon House Congregate Living.

 

MID-INDIA CHRISTIAN MISSION:
